Who I am¶
I am Rizwan Ye. I have worked across the Australian Taxation Office and EY, with experience that sits between business analysis, software delivery, and data-informed problem solving.
My academic background is a Bachelor of Computer Science with a major in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics. My honours work focused on Explainable Artificial Intelligence, which sharpened my interest in how models, evidence, and operational decisions connect in real systems.
This site is personal, but it has a clear theme: how useful technical work gets from an idea into something people can actually use. That means understanding the business context, asking better questions of the data, building maintainable software, and learning how production systems are deployed and supported.
I publish the site under iRizwan as a personal working notebook, not a company brand. The material here reflects my own learning path, technical judgment, and interest in business-aware software that can survive production conditions.
Why this site exists¶
I use iRizwan as an open-source record of a future role I care about: forward deployment engineering. The site documents how to think about the role, how to build toward it, and how I am personally working toward becoming one.
Some of the writing will be educational. Some of it will be practical notes from learning, building, and working through technical problems. The common thread is the same: useful work should not stop at a document, dashboard, notebook, or prototype if it can become a reliable system.

Forward deployment engineering¶
Forward deployment engineering is one way to describe the mix of skills I am writing about. It is the label I use for work that starts with a business problem, uses data honestly, and ends with software that can run in production. The forward deployment engineering section is where I break that idea down in more detail, including the deeper job of a forward deployment engineer.
That is why the topic matters here. It gives a name to the kind of work I want to understand and explain, but it does not replace the personal side of the site.
What it means to me¶
I want the site to feel like a public notebook for learning, not a generic marketing page. The personal layer matters because colleagues, friends, or future collaborators should be able to understand both my background and the direction I am building toward.
What I am building toward¶
The direction of this site is to become a personal record of learning, building, and explaining how business-aware software gets made. It is also a public record of the path toward becoming a forward deployment engineer. The topics I expect to write about here include:
